Game Core Changes

Mechanics

  • Day/Night cycle increased from 4 minutes to 5 minutes
  • HP regeneration per point of Strength increased from 0.03 to 0.1
  • MP regeneration per point of Intelligence increased from 0.04 to 0.05
  • Self damage no longer disables Blink dagger
  • Max attack speed increased from 600 to 700
  • Intelligence based Spell Amplification increased from 1% per 16 Intelligence to 1% per 14
  • Random can now only be used for the first two hero picks on your team.
  • Ultimate levels are now at 6/12/18
  • Captains Mode now has an extra ban (6 bans total in the mode).
  • Captains Mode round time increased from 30 to 35.
  • Captains Mode second ban phase order changed from 2nd/1st/2nd/1st to 1st/2nd/1st/2nd.

Spell Immunity piercing rules

The following abilities no longer pierce Spell Immunity (no longer affects/counts Spell Immune targets):
  • Curse of Avernus, Acid Spray, Bloodseeker's Thirst, Elder Dragon Form, Lycan Wolf Cripple, 
  • Epicenter, Entangling Claws (Spirit Bear), Anchor Smash, Nature's Guise, 
  • Wave of Terror, Venomancer's Poison Sting, The Swarm, 
  • Wrath of Nature, Netherward Mana Degen, Life Drain targeting, Primal Roar Secondary Knockback, 
  • Atrophy Aura, Tombstone, Flesh Golem, 
  • Wall of Replica slow, Naga Siren Ensnare, Dark Troll Summoner Ensnare, Wild Axes, Natural Order, 
  • Death Pulse projectile, Assassinate, Shiva's Guard Aura, Assault Cuirass Aura, and Orb of Venom

Armor

  • Armor formula adjusted from
  • 0.06*Armor / ( 1.0 + 0.06 * Armor)
  • to
  • 0.052*Armor / ( 0.9 + 0.048 * Armor).

Buildings

  • Tree of Life / Frozen Throne HP regen increased from 3 to 12
  • Ancient health increased from 4250 to 4500
  • Ancient building armor reduced from 15 to 13.
  • Tower Protection armor bonus for Tier 2/3/4 increased from 3 to 4
  • Tier 1 Tower armor aura increased from 1 to 2
  • Tier 1 tower armor reduced from 20 to 12.
  • Tier 2 tower armor reduced from 22 to 15.
  • Tier 3 tower armor reduced from 22 to 16
  • Tier 4 tower armor reduced from 30 to 21.
  • Tier 1 Tower team bounty from 160 to 100.
  • Tier 2 Tower team bounty from 200 to 120.
  • Tier 3 Tower Team Bounty from 240 to 140
  • Tier 4 Tower Team Bounty from 280 to 160
  • Tier 1 Towers health increased from 1300 to 1800
  • Tier 2 Towers health increased from 1600 to 1900
  • Tier 3 Towers health increased from 1600 to 2000
  • Tier 4 Towers health increased from 1600 to 2100
  • Towers level 2,3,4 damage from 142-162 to 170-180
  • Melee/Ranged Barracks team bounty reduced from 275/225 to 175/100 to each player
  • Melee Barracks health increased from 1500 to 2200.
  • Ranged Barracks health increased from 1200 to 1300
  • Ranged barracks building armor reduced from 10 to 9
  • Glyph of Fortification duration increased from 5 to 6.
  • Backdoor Protection damage reduction increased from 25% to 40%.
  • Fountain damage increased from 190-199 to 220-240.

Illusions

  • Attack Speed bonuses now work on Illusions
  • Magic Resistance bonuses no longer work on Illusions

Roshan

  • Roshan Slam damage increased from 70 + 5/Min to 70 + 10/Min.
  • Roshan team bounty reduced from 200 to 150
  • Slam damage now properly increases starting at creep spawn tick instead of game start tick
  • Roshan's base damage increased from 65 to 75
  • Roshan's base HP from 8000 to 6000
  • Roshan's base armor from 5 to 20
  • Roshan now gets bonus armor, damage and HP each minute starting with the creep spawn
  • Roshan now drops Cheese from the second death instead of the third
  • Third Roshan kill now drops a single-use consumable  Refresher Shard. Cooldown is independent from normal Refresher Orbs.
  • Roshan no longer kills illusion attacking him, instead he takes 20% of their damage only

Runes

  • Runes are now two different categories: Powerup Runes (Haste, Double Damage, etc.) and Bounty Runes.
  • - Powerup Runes do not spawn at the start of the game.
  • Bounty Runes are no longer located in the River.
  • - They do spawn on the creep spawn
  • Powerup Rune spawns now occur at only one river location at a time.
  • Powerup Runes now spawn different runes on both sides of the river after 40 minutes
  • Each of the four jungles now spawns a Bounty Rune every 5 minutes.
  • Arcane Rune mana cost reduction reduced from 40% to 30% (same as the cooldown reduction).
  • Bounty Rune
  • - Gold growth increased from 2/min to 4/min
  • - Bounty Runes replenishes fully fills bottles
  • Initial Bounty Rune now gives 40 gold + 10 per each 5 minutes of game to all heroes.
  • Haste rune duration reduced to 22 seconds
  • Regeneration Rune changed from 100/67 HP/MP to 6% Max HP/MP.

Spell casting

  • All backswings are removed, each hero can now act immediately after any spell cast

Courier

  • Each player now starts with a Courier
  • When player reaches level 5, Courier become flying
  • When player reaches level 10, Courier is able to use Burst ability
  • When player reaches level 20, Courier is able to use Courier Shield ability (2 seconds of invulnerability)
  • There are no way to buy another courier or to upgrade existing one
  • Minimap now shows your courier only with a Golden dot

Hero killing

  • Death cost reworked:New: 50 + Net Worth/40.
  • Buyback cost changed from 100 + ( Level * Level * 1.5) +  0.25 to 100 + Networth / 13.
  • Buyback no longer reduces gold earned after respawning.

    • ComebackFactor is 1 only if the killing team's net worth is at least 1000 gold below the net worth of the victim's team, otherwise, the ComebackFactor is 0.
    • NetWorthPoorFactor is a multiplier based on the victim's net worth rank within their team. Richer victims give more gold to their killers.
    • For 1/2/3/4/5 from richest to poorest: 1.2/1.05/0.9/0.75/0.6
    • NetWorthRankingFactor is a multiplier based on the killers' net worth ranks within their team. Poorer killers get a bigger share of the gold when the amount is split between multiple assisters.
    • For 1/2/3/4/5 from poorest to richest:
    • 1 (1 killer)
    • 1.6 / 0.4 (2 killers)
    • 1.6 / 1 / 0.4 (3 killers)
    • 1.6 / 1.2 / 0.8 / 0.4 (4 killers)
    • 1.6 / 1.3 / 1 / 0.7 / 0.4 (5 killers)
  • Reworked and simplified XP hero kill bounty system. No longer includes a team XP component
    • All: ( 40+ 0.13 * DyingHeroXP ) / # of killers
    • Additionally, if the killed hero had a killing streak going on, bonus experience is awarded for killing them, on top of the default experience values. Bonus equals to (streak-2)*200, where streak = 3 for Killing Spree and streak = 10 for Beyond Godlike.
  • Respawn time changed from Level*3.8+5 to (level 1 - 2 - ... - 25+)
    • 6 - 8 - 10 - 14 - 16
    • 26 - 28 - 30 - 32 - 34
    • 36 - 44 - 46 - 48 - 50
    • 52 - 54 - 65 - 70 - 75

Creeps

  • Lane creeps now give 70% of experience when denied by neutrals instead of 35%
  • Glyph of Fortification now causes your creeps to be invulnerable for the Glyph duration.
  • Glyph of Fortification now works properly when activated multiple times in a row
  • Creep aggro duration reduced from 2.5 to 2.3
  • Lane creeps vision reduced from 850/750 to 750
  • Siege damage type vs structures increased from 150% to 250%
  • Siege creeps HP increased from 550 to 875
  • Siege creeps BAT increased from 2.7 to 3.0
  • Siege creeps spawn rate reduced from every 7th wave to every 10th wave (Every 5 minutes)
  • Extra Ranged creeps now spawn at 40 minutes instead of 45 minutes.
  • Extra Siege creep now spawns at 35 minutes instead of 45 minutes.
  • Changed melee creeps base XP bounty from 45 to 57
  • Changed range Creeps XP bounty from 90 to 69
  • Reduced melee creep gold bounty upgrade from 2 gold per cycle (each 7m 30s) to 1
  • Increased ranged creep gold bounty upgrade from 2 gold per cycle to 6
  • Ranged Creep base gold bounty increased from 42-48 to 48-58.
  • Destroying ranged Rax now provides your team with Super Siege creeps (16 more damage than normal siege unit) (previously you've only got Super Siege creeps with Megacreeps)

 

Neutrals

  • Reduced gold and experience granted by neutrals by 20-25%
  • Base gold and experience reward for neutrals now increases by 2% with each creep powerup cycle (each 7m 30s)
  • Dying to neutral creeps now causes your hero to have a minimum respawn time of 26 (equal to level 6 respawn time)
  • Cloak Aura now provides 10% magic resistance to heroes instead of 5%
  • Thunder Lizard Big
    • Thunder Slam cast point increased from 0 to 0.3.
  • Enraged Wildkin
    • Tornado cast point reduced from 0.75 to 0.4.
  • Polar Furbolg Ursa Warrior
    • Thunder Clap cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.4.
    • Thunder Clap mana cost reduced from 100 to 50.
  • Centaur Khan
    • War Stomp cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.4.
    • War Stomp mana cost reduced from 100 to 50.
  • Centaur Outrunner
    • Move speed reduced from 350 to 320.
  • Satyr Soulstealer
    • Mana Burn cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.3.
  • Satyr Trickster
    • Move speed reduced from 330 to 300.
    • Attack range reduced from 300 to 280.
    • Acquisition range reduced from 300 to 280.
  • Harpy Storm
    • Chain Lightning cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.3.
  • Dark Troll
    • Attack range reduced from 400 to 250.
    • Acquisition range reduced from 300 to 250.
  • Dark Troll Warlord
    • Added a 1500 speed projectile for Ensnare.
    • Ensnare no longer penetrates spell immune
    • Ensnare Cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.3.
    • Raise Dead cast point reduced from 0.5 to 0.3.
    • Ensnare mana cost reduced from 150 to 75.
    • Move speed reduced from 320 to 300.
    • Attack range reduced from 400 to 250.
    • Acquisition range reduced from 300 to 250.
  • Giant Wolf
    • Removed critical strike ability
    • Increased damage from 21-24 to 29-33
